Reconciliation

* Dialogue between former lovers

Female

            When you were with me

you had a heart of stone

            You thought I was lucky

            Now, look who’s left alone

Male

            I often looked around

            My roots were not planted

            I kept you underground

            I took you for granted

Female

I leaned on you like a crutch

            Didn’t notice all you lack

            You don’t really offer much

Why should I take you back?

Male

            Now that you are gone

            I know what I lost

Tell me what must be done

            No matter what the cost.

Female

            You’re breaking my heart again

You love to see me cry

            You’re making me start again

            Why should I even try?

Male

If you will come back to me

I know that you will stay

I was blind but now I see

That you won’t be in the way
